Equipment

To be able to work with us, you will need the equipment and services as mentioned below.

The requirements for the equipment and services will vary depending on the job opportunity. Please refer the Equipment section in Job Description page for each job opportunity.

Important

The equipment and related services must comply with Arise System and Equipment Policy. Please refer to the updated document to ensure all of the requirements by the client program are met.

Computer

  • You may use a desktop or a laptop computer.

  • All-in-One computers, Dual boot computers, Netbooks, Tablets, Mobile phones are not permitted.

 

We recommend computers with below configuration:

​Processor

  • Dual-Core 2.8 GHz or better, Intel Core-i5 class or better, or AMD Phenom X2 class or better is required.

  • Atom, Celeron, Pentium, and Opteron processors are not permitted.​

Operating System

  • Windows 10 (64-bit) is recommended, or Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

  • Windows 11 is not currently supported by any of our client opportunities.

  • If you are planning to use a Mac computer, you are required to have Bootcamp with Windows 10 (64-bit) or Windows 8 / 8.1 (64-bit) installed.

Screen / Monitor

  • Most of the job opportunities require only one screen / monitor.

  • Some job opportunities do require a dual-screen / monitor setup.​ Please refer to the job description for additional details.

Internet

  • A high-speed hardwired internet connection is required.

  • For a hardwired internet setup you will need an ethernet cable connected between your computer (desktop or laptop) and the internet modem.

  • Wi-fi connection is not permitted.

Do I need the Ethernet cable during training?

Yes. You are required to be connected to internet via Ethernet cable during your training.

Headset

  • Most of the job opportunities require a good quality noise cancelling USB headset with a microphone and a mute button.

  • Some job opportunities require a headset that connects with the landline phone equipment.

  • A noise cancelling USB headset is required.

Do I need the Headset during training?

Yes. You are required to have the above mentioned headset during your training.

Telephone Service & Equipment

  • A traditional phone service (also known as landline phone service) without any calling features (such as Call Display, Call Waiting, Voicemail etc.) or any Long Distance service is required.

  • A call center phone equipment with a compatible headset is required. Please message us to learn more about this equipment.

  • Some business-class VoIP phone services are allowed, however some restricted VoIP services like Magic Jack, OOMA, Skype etc. are not permitted.

Important - Telephone is a variable requirement

  • Most of our job opportunities do not require you to to have a telephone equipment and service. Please refer to the Job Description for additional details.

  • Internet-based telephone services (also known as VoIP) are not permitted.

  • You are not required to have any features like Call Display, Call Waiting, Voicemail etc.

  • You are not required to have any kind of Long Distance calling plan.

  • Using a cellphone service instead of a telephone service is not permitted.

When do I buy the telephone service and equipment?

We do not recommend buying these equipment and services before you qualify for the training. You are required to have these equipment and services available before you start booking your service hours.
